Sunday School & Nursery
Sunday School for children takes place during the service, beginning immediately after the Children’s Message, when children are invited to join the Sunday School leaders in the Christian Ed classrooms.
Nursery care is available every Sunday. The nursery is downstairs next to the fellowship hall.
Middle & High School Youth

There are multiple activities for middle and high school youth, including church school, outings, service opportunities, and confirmation classes for those entering 9th grade or above. Please check the church calendar or contact the church office.
Adult Christian Education
At the Bar Harbor Congregational Church there are many opportunities for adult Christian education. These include:
Join us for Bible Study every Friday at noon.
Open, honest conversation in a pub setting. What’s on your mind, heart, spirit? Faith, doubt, hope, God, love …
All are welcome, including friends and guests.
Faith Friends is a gathering of women that meets once a month for six consecutive months to discuss living our faith in our daily lives. Discussion may revolve around a topical book.
On select 4th Sundays of the month, everyone is welcome to join in for the “after-party” taking place after the service and coffee time to discuss that day’s sermon subject. Questions, thoughts, open minds welcome!
During the weeks of Lent, Thursday night suppers and discussion take place in the church gathering space.
Pilgrim Lodge

Pilgrim Lodge is the Maine Conference UCC Summer Camp on the shores of stunningly beautiful Lake Cobbosseecontee in West Gardiner, Maine. Here inspiration is infused into lives through the power of love, nature, and God. Amidst all the fun of summer camp Pilgrim Lodge teaches stories from the Bible as well as critical thinking.
Pilgrim Lodge is accredited by the American Camp Association.
