The Called to Care ministry works in collaboration with Pastor Rob to extend caring assistance and cheer to members and friends of our church family. Many members of the church participate in and benefit from the activities that CtC coordinates.
Get well and sympathy cards are sent to those in need. Friendship cards are sent to those who are unable to fully participate in church life.
Care packages are assembled and mailed to our church’s college students for Valentine’s Day and Hallowe’en. Members and friends of the church contribute home baked goods, candy, holiday items, and postage.
Casseroles and meals are made and delivered to those in need.
Knitters and crocheters create scarves for Confirmation, blankets for Baptisms, and prayer shawls for those facing a difficult time.
Members of our congregation who are residents of Birch Bay and Sonogee are visited on a regular basis.
Called to Care meets every other month on the second Monday at 7 PM. All are welcome to attend. As a church committee (rather than a board), there are no term limits for those serving on CtC. For more information about Called to Care or to volunteer to help in this ministry, call the church office at (207) 288-3280.
Please contact Pastor Rob or any member of the Called to Care committee if you know of someone in need of caring concern.
